Congratulation to Evan English, Alyssa Geisert, and Chase Hofmeister for making the auditioned EHC honor choir!!!

This message is to make you aware that a junior high aged student at Pender Public Schools tested positive for COVID-19. This is the first student or staff member that has tested positive during the 2020-2021 school year. Communication is an important tool to keep everyone as safe as possible, which is why this message is being sent. Confidentiality laws prohibit the school from disclosing information regarding the identity of the student.
Due to the safety precautions in place at PPS, very few, if any, students will be classified as “close contacts.” District personnel are, however, working to determine if there are any close contacts who would need to subsequently quarantine. Parents of students deemed to be close contacts will be notified as soon as possible. Like was already stated, it is anticipated that very few, if any, students will be identified as a close contact.
It is important to know that safety precautions are in place at the school to keep everyone in the building as safe as possible. The safety precautions have been in place since the start of the school year, and they will continue to be in place until it is safe for them to no longer be implemented. Other than being aware of the situation and being diligent with the safety measures in place at the school, there are no actions required of students and parents. This message is for communication purposes and is aimed at helping keep everyone as safe as possible moving forward.
Thank you for your understanding and have a great day!
