Wednesday, October 23rd is going to be a busy and fun day here at PPS. 1) NCCAS Recognition Celebration begins at 8:30 am in the Heese Event Center. If your child is being recognized you have been notified. 2) Parent-Teacher Conferences are that night from 3 to 9 pm. If you have an elementary student please make sure you sign up online for a time to meet with their teacher. 3) There is NO school for Preschool on Wednesday, October 23rd. 3) There is NO after school program on Wednesday, October 23rd. Other reminders: There will be NO school on Friday, October 25th. Also, there has been a calendar change and there will be no school for Preschool - 6th grade on Wednesday, November 27th. Please mark your calendars.

Pender girls are District D-3 Runner Ups! Piper S. is your District Champion Faith M. finishes 9th Jessica K. finishes 10th The girls team will compete next Friday, Oct 25th at 2:00 pm @ Kearney Country Club

Our 4th, 5th, and 6th graders had a great time at our 2nd Annual Digital Citizenship Symposium. We were lucky to have Karen Haase of KSB Law with us today via Zoom! We learned a lot about the good/bad aspects of social media and how to be a great digital citizen! #betheone

Mark your calendars! Our first Pender One Act Festival will be held on Saturday, November 16th in the Hesse Event Center. Your Pender One Act team will be performing Enter Three Witches: A Story of Macbeth. More details will be shared closer to the date.

Picture Retakes are Thursday, October 17th. Please call the office to make sure your child is on the retake list.

NEN battles hard but loses game 2 to Omaha Gross 6-3 in the district finals. A terrific season comes to an end for the Vipers. Good luck to Gross Catholic at state this upcoming week.

Gross & NEN Softball teams and fans participate in a Down Syndrome awareness walk at the field for team Noah Jacobsen, the Gross Catholic coach’s son between game 1&2! They missed the walk in Omaha for today’s game so coaches and players surprised the family!

In a back and forth game the Vipers give up 3 runs in the bottom of the 6th and fall short to Omaha Goss 7-4. Game 2 will begin in 30 minutes.

Good luck to our NEN Vipers today as they travel to Omaha Gross for district Softball!

Just a reminder about Digital Citizenship activities planned for 4th-5th-6th graders next week! Check out the dress up days! A pizza party is on the line for the class with the best participation ! We will be talking about how to be a responsible digital citizen! #betheone
