Congratulations to Kaylee Schroeder for breaking the school record for blocks in a game! The previous record holders were Alyssa Geisert and Hallie Ballinger/Macholan with 10 blocks. Kaylee had 11 blocks against Bancroft-Rosalie on Tuesday night.

Good Luck to the football team tonight in the first round of the NSAA Playoffs! Pender plays @ GACC (Beemer location) at 7:00pm. No passes are accepted, and admission is $8 for adults and $6 for students. Game can be streamed on GACC Hudl TV. You can listen on 107.9 The Bull.

In other eSports news, an amazing thing happened on Saturday. Midland University from Fremont was also at this tournament. Their team sat in on our Overwatch 2 match vs Waverly. During this match, some great plays were made by our team which made the college eSports team start jumping in the air and cheering our team on.
Our team did lose the close match, but the Midland esports team thought our players were veteran players of the game, but were left speechless when they found out they were 7th graders who JUST STARTED PLAYING Overwatch 2 in August.
From this match and how our other teams were playing, the Midland eSports coach offered each of the Pender eSports players a $20,000 scholarship for just being a part of the NSeSA association which could be a higher amount if they keep improving their skills.
The coach also offered Joshua Butts a $25,000 scholarship too.
The second cool part is the JV OW2 team has an opportunity to be trained by Midland's college Overwatch 2 team and the team has been invited to watch any of Midlands eSports matches or tournaments with VIP access.
We at Pender Public Schools want to say how proud we are of our Pendragon gamers and the work they put into their games. This shows that even if you don't place in a tournament, your hard work and dedication do show in more ways than one.
It's truly a great day to be a Pendragon!
