PPS will be conducting an evacuation drill followed by a reunification drill on Friday, August 31. The evacuation drill will begin at 1:30 pm, and the reunification drill will begin at approximately 3:00 pm. If all students arrive at the reunification site, which is the Pender Community Center, prior to 3:00 pm, the reunification drill will begin at that point in time. In other words, if all students arrive at the Pender Community Center by 2:30 pm, and staff is ready for the reunification process to begin, we will begin at 2:30 pm. If reunification is able to begin before 3:00 pm, a message using this system will be sent to everyone registered in this system. Parents and/or family members that are able to get to the Community Center early will be able to start the process upon arrival. Those that are NOT able to get to the Community Center early will simply begin reunification when they arrive. No one is expected to change plans if we are able to start early. PPS simply wants to make starting early an option for those that can make it IF it is possible to start reunification before 3:00 pm. We would like to be as efficient and effective as possible while conducting these drills. This is one way in which we can make that happen. As a reminder, your patience, understanding, and cooperation are very important and greatly appreciated during the reunification drill. All PPS staff members will do their absolute best on Friday to make the experience positive and as smooth as possible. It's a Great Day to be a Pendragon!
