We're breaking out the DRAGON'S DEN tonight! The south east corner of the gym will be reserved for our students (look for the sign). We are asking that if students are in the building for a basketball game that they be 1 - in the gym with parents, 2 - in the GBB Pendragon Zone (behind the bench, learning the game, supporting the team), or 3 - in the Dragon's Den with their friends cheering on the Pendragons! This means they should not be in the old gym, wrestling room, Ag wing, high school building or running the halls. If parents allow their children to go outside (on to the playground), that is fine, but students need to exit and reenter through door 1. We are planning special theme nights for our students as well as other fun activities. Thank you for your help in keeping our students safe during home events! Go Big Red!!

Are you concerned about the overall health of your family? Are there obstacles for parents in obtaining needed health care? Is providing a healthy meal for your family a problem? PPS, along with the Northeast Nebraska Health Department, Pender Community Hospital and Providence Medical Center, are working together to help make communities in Thurston, Wayne, Dixon and Cedar Counties healthier. We are looking for parents of Preschool and Elementary students to take park in an approximately 90-minute focus group conversation regarding an array of health care topics pertinent to this population. The focus group will be held on Tuesday, December 11 at 6:30 pm. Location is yet to be determined based on the number of participants. Participants will receive a $15 Subway card for their time. Please RSVP to Leslie Timm by calling the school office or emailing Letimm1@penderschools.org. Please RSVP by this Friday.
