Tomorrow at 1:30 pm in the Heese Event Center, PPS is hosting a ceremony to celebrate Pender being named a 2017 National Blue Ribbon School. We will have several special guests in attendance including Governor Pete Ricketts, Miss Nebraska Allison Tietjen, State Senator Joni Albrecht, Nebraska Board of Education Member Rachel Wise, Retired PPS Teacher Rae Brown, and Pender Board of Education President Matt Peters.
Everyone is welcome to attend! We especially encourage parents and family members to attend because you are part of the reason we received this award! Come help us celebrate being named a 2017 National Blue Ribbon School tomorrow at 1:30! Thanks and have a great evening!

Pender Public Schools is having a food drive to help stock the local food pantry prior to the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays. We will accept donations from now until Wed. Nov. 22. If possible, please encourage your children to bring at least 2 items for the food pantry to school during this time. The items most needed are shampoo, soap, laundry detergent, dish soap, canned meats, hot or cold cereal, canned soups, mac and cheese, spaghettio's, hamburger helper, peanut butter, jelly and also items for holiday meals (stuffing, cranberries, sweet potatoes, instant mashed potatoes, pumpkin, corn, etc.). Any and all help would be appreciated. Let’s show them some real PENDRAGON spirit! Thank you!
