There is a Music Booster meeting following the JH Concert tonight, Thursday, March 21st to discuss plans for the elementary honor band day that is quickly approaching. For those that do not have kids in JH, the concert begins at 7 pm and typically last around an hour. Please plan to meet in Mrs. Kolbeck's room between 7:45/8:00 pm. Any new members are welcome to join us!

The Pender Chapter of the National Honor Society will be inducting new members this spring. Eligible students were contacted via email on Friday, March 15th. A meeting was held on Tuesday, March 19th during 2nd period study hall to discuss the application and the process to becoming a member. The applications are due to Mrs. Von Seggern on March 29th. The entire faculty will complete a survey regarding scholarship, character, leadership, and service for those students who complete the application. After all of the applications and surveys are collected, a faculty council will review the data to choose new members to our chapter. Students will be contacted via email on April 11th regarding the selection as new members. Monday, April 15th during the fine arts / academic awards night the new members will go through the induction ceremony to join our Pender Chapter of the National Honor Society. Good afternoon. This is Jason Dolliver, the Superintendent of Pender Public Schools. This message is intended for families that utilize bussing services. The recent flooding has created the need to alter our bus routes.
The east route (Denny’s Route) has the following changes. The first stop will now be Thurston, which used to be the 3rd stop. In other words, that stop will happen 10 to 15 minutes earlier than normal. All stops after Thurston will be 10 to 15 minutes earlier than normal as a result. Please make plans to accommodate these changes. Scott Pfeiffer, Pender’s Transportation Coordinator, will call the first two stops (Krueger & Walker) to discuss the plan for these families.
The west route (Nadine’s Route) is going to be difficult to judge. Riders are asked to be ready 10 minutes prior to your scheduled time, but know, your pickup may be as much as 10 minutes later than normal. Your pick up times will gain consistency every day. Scott Pfeiffer will be in contact with a few families with some special circumstances.
Your patience and understanding is vital, and it is also greatly appreciated. Mother nature threw us a curve ball and we are doing our best to adjust. Feel free to contact Scott, your bus driver, or me if you have any questions or concerns.

These kids worked super hard this season and six persevered to compete in finals. We felt the heartbreak today at districts, the cards just didn’t go our way in Bancroft. To our seniors we will miss you next year, but be proud of all you have accomplished. Our district medalists:
