It is SOOOOOOO good to see everyone! Today is the start of a great school year!
Good evening,
Today is the last day of the summer break, which means the 2020-2021 school year starts TOMORROW!! Hopefully students are excited to come back, because PPS staff members are thrilled for them to be back! It has been WAY too long since school was last in session, and everyone at the school is very excited to get the school year started!
Here are a few reminders…
1. School will be dismissed tomorrow at 1:00 pm
2. Please do NOT arrive before 8:00 am.
3. Breakfast will be grab and go and will be eaten in the classrooms.
4. Facial coverings will be required. If you have one, please put it on before entering the building. If you do not have one, one will be available when you arrive!
Again, everyone at PPS looks forward to seeing you and can’t wait to get the school year started!

The Football Gatorade Scrimmage will begin at 5:30 on Friday night followed by the Fall Sports Kickoff at 7:00 @ Heyne Field. Please wear a mask when social distancing isn’t possible. Admittance is a sports drink! See you Friday night!
Parents: Please be aware that due to social distancing efforts, students will be eating lunch in either the lunchroom, event center or multipurpose room. A microwave is not available in all locations. If you are packing your child's lunch, please consider options that do not need to be cooked/warmed. Thank you!

7th-12th grade students are encouraged to pick up their back to school packet anytime from 7:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m. at the front office at PPS. Having this completed and ready to turn in the first day of school ensures you are able to get your device the first day of school.
Reminder: Come support our coaches and athletes at the Fall Sports Kickoff at 7:00 pm tonight at the football field! Please wear a mask if you cannot social distance. Booster club will have free will donation hotdogs and chips. See you tonight!
The NEN Viper softball team will hold their Gatorade scrimmage Saturday, August 15th at 6:30 in Lyons. They kick off their season Monday, August 17th vs WP-B in Pender at 6:30 for the Jamboree Game. See you there!

The 2020 Booster Club Fall Sports Kickoff is Friday August 14th at 7:00 @ Heyne Field. Food will be free will donation. Coaches will introduce their teams. Please wear a mask if you cannot social distance. Come show your support for our athletes and coaches!
Here are just a few of the supplies that St. Mark's Lutheran Church donated to Pender Public Schools. This donation will ensure that each child will start the school year with the school supplies they need. Thank you so much. We appreciate you!
WOW!! Since March 19, 2020, Pender Public Schools kitchen staff has cooked and served 18,707 breakfasts and 18,707 lunches. That is 37,414 total meals. Thank you for supporting our summer food program and if you see our wonderful kitchen staff, please thank them for a job well done. We can't wait to see you all next week.
