Your outstanding district actors: Nike Ritschel, Carson Miller, Rosalia Paredes, Zachery Randall, Madalyn Meyer, and Lucas Timm! One judge would have given us the best ensemble award if that was a thing. Today we fought hard and left it all on the stage. Although today did not turn out how we thought it would, this was a season of growth, and I am proud of how far we have come since our first performance. In the judges words, “it’s like a whole different show.” Our crew deserves a special shout out - without you we wouldn’t have a set to perform on, lights, fog, or sound! We also say goodbye to some awesome seniors: William Athey, Madalyn Meyer, and Larry McManigal. Congratulations on a great show and wonderful season.

Here at District one acts in Bloomfield we are running about 5-10 minutes behind schedule. Our original performance time is supposed to be 1:45pm. However, it was communicated that we may perform later than that. I expect us to perform around 2:00pm. That being said, we could perform anytime between 1:45pm and 2:30pm. Awards will follow the last performance of the day.

Good afternoon! This is Jason Dolliver, the Superintendent of Pender Public Schools. The weather forecast for tomorrow and Wednesday could make travel very difficult and dangerous. As of now, we are projected to get between 6 and 9 inches of snow and up to 40 mile per hour winds. Snow is slated to begin around the noon hour. Time will tell what actually happens. I intend to keep a very close eye on the situation as this weather event unfolds in an effort to make sure the best decision possible can be made for the safety of Pender students and staff. The timing of this weather event will make decision making challenging. I will do my best! The intent of this message is to inform you of the weather situation headed our way. It is also intended to prepare families for what may need to happen in the middle of the day tomorrow. If and when it begins to snow, it likely won’t stop for several hours. This may make it necessary to dismiss school early. I would like to limit the amount of time between the decision to close school early and when school is actually closed. Limiting that time frame will allow school to be in session for as long as possible. If the weather does indeed dictate closing school early, it would be great to be able to dismiss no more than 45 minutes later. A shorter amount of time would be even better. My request is for families to prepare for a situation in which school is dismissed early tomorrow. Your cooperation with this request is greatly appreciated. Thanks and have a great day!
