As many of you may know, I informed the Pender Board of Education that I will be resigning from my position of 7-12 Principal at the end of the 2022-2023 school year. I have accepted the Superintendent position with Thayer Central Community Schools in Hebron, Nebraska. It has been a privilege to serve the PPS school district in this position for the last 9 years. Along with me, my wife Tara will be leaving her elementary teaching position which she has held for the last 8 years at PPS.
We can’t thank the entire community enough for giving us the chance to work and live here. The town of Pender has become our home and always will be for our children. We will all miss the school, the Pender-Thurston area, and all the wonderful things that happen here. We are both looking forward to this new adventure but wanted to say thank you to you all.

The One Act team performed today at the EHC meet in Oakland and came away with 5th place! Individual awards will be posted once we have them all back from the judges. The hard work and practice is appreciated!
THANK YOU!! The Pender Booster Club and Pender Summer Rec both donated to the purchase of a hitting machine that will be used by 2 school activities (Thunder Baseball & Viper Softball). All Pender Legion Baseball and Pender Summer Rec programs will also use it. Again, THANK YOU!
The secondary music concert tonight for 7-12th grade band and choir students will begin at 7:00 p.m. in the Heese Event Center. See you there!

The JH Boys basketball game scheduled on Thursday, Nov 17th vs Bancroft-Rosalie will begin at 4:00pm in Rosalie. The location has been changed to Rosalie from the previous location. The A team will play at 4:00pm, B team will follow. Sorry for the late notice!
