Pender Public Schools is proud to share that Dennis Oliver has been honored with the 2025 Guy Mytty Award, a prestigious recognition in Nebraska high school wrestling.

This award is given by the Nebraska Coaches Association Board of Directors annually to individuals who have made lasting contributions to the sport. Dennis' dedication, leadership, and passion for wrestling have impacted countless student-athletes, coaches, and programs across the state.

Congratulations Dennis, for your years of commitment to growing and supporting Nebraska high school wrestling. Your influence will be felt for generations to come.

PPS graduate Maya Dolliver will be playing in the NCA All Star Basketball game at Lincoln Northstar on Wednesday, July 23rd at 6:00pm! Good Luck Maya!

Congratulations to Coach Haymart for being an assistant coach last night in the NCA All Star Softball game! Taylor Scholting of Wisner-Pilger played in the game last night as well. The Blue team wins 7-6!!!

The Pender Esports games have been announced for the 25-26 school year + some big changes, too. See the image below for the games that will be offered. Also, Nebraska's esports association (NSeSA) has made changes to move to the PlayVS platform, offering more national opportunities for students to play at a national level and providing better support with scheduling matches More information will be posted in the future!

School starts one month from today and fall sports will begin even earlier. All student athletes must have a physical before you can practice. Pender Medical Clinic has forms on hand or you can pick up at school office between 6:30 a.m. and 3:00 p.m.
