2008-2009 Activity Banner Sale
Don’t miss out on the opportunity to buy a piece of Pender High School history!
Pender High School is going to sell the activity banners hanging in the commons area outside of the new gym. These banners are from the winter 2008-2009 sports season which were provided to us by the National Guard. The items being sold are the girls basketball, boys basketball, wrestling, and flames banners.
The process being used to sell the banners is a silent auction. Bids will be taken until February 19. With 5 minutes left in halftime of the varsity boys’ basketball game on February 19, the bidding will cease and the winners of the banners will be announced. The successful bidders will be the people with the highest bid.
The bidding will start with a $25 minimum bid. People interested in bidding on the banners will have three methods of bidding including email, phone, and a form. The key information we need in order to accept a bid from someone is: 1) name, 2) bid amount, 3) which banner, 4) daytime and evening phone numbers, and 5) address. High bids will be posted daily on the Pender Public Schools website which is www.penderschools.org.
Email bids should be submitted to Mr. Lonnie Ford. His email address is loford1@penderschools.org. Bids submitted by email should include the 5 pieces of information listed above.
Phone bids should be submitted to Mrs. Vicky Westerhold. Vicky can be contacted by calling 402-385-3244 ext. 100. Mrs. Westerhold will also need the 5 pieces of information listed above.
Finally, bids will also be taken in person by filling out the bid form. This form is available at the school as well as on the school website. This method of bidding can be completed by simply filling out the form and giving it to Mrs. Westerhold.
This is an exciting opportunity for both the people interested in buying the banners and Pender Public Schools. Proceeds of this silent auction will be used to support the Pender activities program. Good luck to all interested parties!
