FFA Farm Safety Day
by Tanner Sunderman
The Farm Safety Day was a success for the FFA. Everything went as planned and the kids learned a lot. The kids had 8 different stations to make it through. There was ATV Safety, which taught kids proper ways to ride and protect yourself with four-wheelers. There was Garage Safety, this taught kids about protecting yourself from chemicals and power tools. They had a sunscreen activity also, the kids got to learn and have fun with sun protectant's.The next station they had was bike safety, they learned how to be safe when riding a bike and to always wear the proper protective gear. There was also boat and camping safety, where they were reminded to be on the look-out to the dangers you have when you are boating and camping. They had two courses involved with animals as well. They got to learn about horses and had a lesson on different breeds of dogs. The biggest station that they went through was the farm safety station, they learned about how to be safe when around farm equipment such as tractors and combines etc. The day was a great success full of fun and great advice for the students that attended the day.
