DON'T GET CAUGHT SNOOZING
by Adam Pearson
Sleep--do teenagers need it? Well, one might think so, but
for the eight females in our school, sleep might be a scarce
commodity. Most morning, these girls meet in the gym to
practice, practice, practice at 6:30 AM. These eight
individuals compose our Pendragon Flames.
This year has been a busy year for the Pendragon flames--three
seniors: Alaynna Henschke, Kayci Allen and Jessica Renz; four
juniors: Melissa Roeber, Tara Baker, Emily Frank and Courtney Rutar
and one sophomore, Karlee Christiansen. The team is sponsored by
Mrs. Muir. The girls are dedicated in what they do. While most of
us are still in bed at the crack of dawn, it is different for this
team. They get up almost every morning before school to practice
their routines. Their routines consist of pom and uplifting. The
flames also have a busy schedule. They have competed in the
USD Vermillion competition. In February, they will be
competing in Sioux City. State is coming up during February in
Grand Island also. We thank these girls for all their hard work and
dedication!
