What were some of the classes that you took in high school?
Geometry, Latin, Spelling, English, Penmanship, Algebra, History, Geography, Shop, Math.
What were the sports/activities like during your high school career?
Football--many farm boy's did not participate; had to do chores in the evening.
Basketball, track.
What advice would you give to the upcoming class of 2008?
Take advantage of materials available, but do not be as serious as I was.
Do you have any special memories regarding what was happening historically during that time?
Very dry weather for farmers and short crops. Depression was very evident in all places.
Do you have any special memories you would like to share about your days at PHS?
I remember driving my 1929 pick-up to school. Ester Heineman, sister of Irene Wagner and Mylet Burmester (one year older) lived where Dick and Donna Smith live.
