Wakefield Spoils Pender's Homecoming

On October 12, the Wakefield Trojans came to Pender and ruined the Dragons' homecoming, beating Pender 34-8.
On offense, the leading rusher for Pender was Matt S. with three carries for 61 yards. Joey G. had seven carries for 21 yards and one touchdown. Through the air, Joey G. completed eight of 17 passes for 71 yards. Leading receiver was Jordan Nelson with two catches for 39 yards.
On defense, the leading tackler was, of course, Brant W. with eight solo and six assisted tackles. Nick Crippen and Jared J. also had a good night throwing people down. Nick C. had seven solo tackles and Jared J. had six solo tackles. The thieves for Pender against Wakefield were Robert D., Jared J., Daniel K., and Brant W., each recovering one fumble.
On special teams, punting for the Dragons was Bret M., who had five boots for 155 yards. Returning kicks for Pender were Grant F. and Jordan N., with Grant F. returning two kicks for 30 yards and Jordan N. brought back four kicks for 48 yards.
The Dragons last regular season home game is against the Indians at Ponca. So make the long trip up there and support the Pender Pendragons.
