Athletics: Golf Girls

CONFERENCE AND TRIANGULAR KEEP GOLFERS ON THE ROAD

The East Husker Conference for Girls' Golf was held on the 22nd of September. It was a beautiful, sunny day for golfing.  The low individual was Ashlie Slatt from Oakland-Craig with a score of 92. Kayci Allen and Alaynna Henschke tied for 2nd and 3rd place with a total of 97 strokes. Megan Heise was only two strokes away from a medal with a 125. Katie Peatrowsky shot a 233 for the event. All together the Pender team had a total of 552 strokes. Oakland-Craig took the Conference with a 405. Stanton took 2nd place with 464 strokes. Tekamah-Herman placed as the last team.

 

On the 24th the golfers met Hartington and Hartington CC on our own course. Luckily the rain held off for the most part. They only had a few sprinkles on them by the time that they left the course. The low individual of the triangular was Bernice Bowers from Hartington with a 43. Kayci Allen achieved a 48 which gave her 2nd place in the triangular. Alaynna Henschke also did very well and shot a 54. Megan Heise had an exciting day. She managed a 57 and on hole 8; she chipped in and sunk a birdie. Amber Howell got through the 9 holes with 82 strokes. Katie Peatrowsky got a 105 and all together the Pender team shot 241. Hartington shot 199 and Hartington CC 209 East Husker Conference
