Regular Board Meeting
February 12, 2007 – 7:00 p.m.
1. Call to Order, Roll Call, Establishment of Quorum – 7:00 p.m. CST
2. Establishment or Approval of the Agenda
As of July 1, 2006, Nebraska Statute 84-1412(8) requires that the public be informed about the location of posted information regarding the Open Meetings Act. A copy of that information is posted in the meeting room and accessible to all members of the public.
Review agenda as presented, affirm that every board member received notice of the meeting and that the meeting was published. President will ask for corrections/additions to the agenda.

Action: President calls on audience members to address board as allowed through Procedures for Public Comment form for items on the agenda or other concerns.
8. Enrollment Option Requests
- Dylan Suhr (Kindergarten – From Pender to West Point)
- Dalton Suhr (6th Grade – From Pender to West Point)
Action: Need to approve these enrollment option applications.
9. Annual Safety Inspection Report
Action: Superintendent Sherwood will review the report prepared by Rod Garwood.
10. Timeline Orientation
Action: Superintendent Sherwood will present information to board members on a timeline depicting specific items and when they are dealt with over the course of a fiscal year.
11. Post-prom Decision – Jason Dolliver
Action: Secondary Principal Jason Dolliver will present guidelines under which the post-prom committee could use our facilities.
12. Board Policy Amendment Consideration
- Committee will Share Policy Review and Adoption Plan
- #1335 – Use of School Facilities
Action: The Board Policy Committee members will recommend amendments to Board Policy 1335 – Use of School Facilities and ask for approval of the first (or possibly all three readings) reading so policy may be changed to allow use of school facilities for non-sponsored school activities on Sundays.
13. Building and Grounds
- Lift Replacement
Action: Review information regarding repair/replacement of our lift.
14. Personnel
- Whitwer Resignation
- Munderloh Resignation
- Secondary Principal Contract 2007-08
- 2007-08 Staff Planning/Assignment Consideration
Action: Accept resignations, offer 2007-08 contract to Secondary Principal, and go into executive session to further discuss 2007-08 staff planning/assignment consideration.

This agenda contains a list of subjects known at the time of its distribution on February 9, 2007. A copy of the agenda reflecting any changes will be kept in the Pender administrative office and will be readily available for public inspection during normal office hours. Except for items of emergency nature, the agenda will not be enlarged later than twenty-four hours before the scheduled commencement of the meeting. The Board reserves the right to change the order of business discussed.
