What's Out There?

Using the Web Site

Navigating web sites can occasionally be overwhelming.  Where did I see that article?  Why won't this print?  What links took me where?  We hope to answer a few of your questions with the information below.

Why do some of the links on the left have arrows and some don't?

Many times we have too much information to put under one link so subdivisions are created.  The reader will see a right-pointing black arrow that indicates additional links.  REMEMBER:  These subdivisions often have news articles at the base level.  Click there also.  (For example, District Data has two links:  Board of Education and Dismissal Times.  But there is also information under the District Data Link--Teachers' Schedules.)

What is a PDF file?

A PDF file is a compacted "portable document file" that can be read and easily navigated on any machine with the software package "Adobe Reader."  Many computers have Adobe Reader already installed.  If you don't have this software, it is free and can be downloaded at www.adobe.com.  PDF files may take a little time to download depending on the speed of your computer and your Internet connection.   When downloading, be patient even after the word "Done" appears; it may take a couple more seconds before the document appears.

What does "feedback" indicate on an article?

Feedback is a way for you to write comments to our website concerning the article you just read.

What are some features I can use in "calendar"?

All calendars can be printed in a monthly format (both horizontally and vertically under page setup on your Print Menu).  Also, on the first calendar screen, the user can check events he/she wants classify as "clipped."  Our calendar will e-mail the reader notification of these clipped events.
